DYI car waxing tips
Filed Under Car Improvement & Maintenance | Leave a Comment
These days you need to wax your car often due to the rising amount of dust and pollution. It is definitely not a good idea or sending the car to a garage or hiring a person every time to get this done. It is best to do it yourself!
You can make a homemade car wax by mixing beeswax, carnauba wax, turpentine and pine oil. All these are easily available at any super market. You just need to get the proportions right. 2 tablespoons of molten beeswax goes into 8 ounces of carnauba wax. Allow this mixture to cool down and add 16 ounces of turpentine and a tablespoon of pine oil. Be extremely careful that no abrasive agents are getting mixed to this solution. This can now be used as any readymade wax.
Before you start waxing, clean the exterior and make it free from dust and grime. Remove abrasive particles if any. Use a sponge and damp it before you start applying it onto the car.

Are you bored with the way everyone’s car looks the same on the street. Have you bought a new car or want to re-design your car to give it a sportier feel and look? Then here are some tips that would help you make the transition, easy and cheap-
1) Give your car a fresh paint. Go for bright colors as sports cars never have a dull look.
2) Order and purchase rims for your car. This will give your car the edge and look it need.
3) Lift the front end of your car. These not only protect your car from dirt but give the shape of a sports car.
4) Dim the lights. Get what is known as sun-glasses for your car.
5) Get the windows of your car tinted. The color of the tint should compliment that of your car. These tints prevent others from looking in your car along with giving it a sporty look.

Myths related to electric cars
Filed Under Electric Cars | Leave a Comment
Electric cars were introduced as a mainstream car. But it has some myths about it. Often you may hear people say that most of the electric cars can be recharged at home. The reality is that most of the cars can be charged with a low-cost 220V outlet. Also you can charge them overnight but not more than that if you are driving daily. This does not mean that you can charge the car once and for all in a day and use it without charging it for two days or more.
Once you have charged overnight, the car can run a maximum of 40miles and not 100miles like you may hear. You may have heard that some business stations will install charging stations so that it is easy for customers to charge their cars if suddenly required. Truth is only McDonalds and Whole Foods will do this and not any other companies. It is also a misconception that you need expensive equipment and a special plug to charge an electric car.

Are you a car maniac? But you need to look into several things before you buy your car tomorrow. You might be aware of the environmental intensification and concern building around.
You should very well play the role in it as well. On top of that there are many other benefits of electric cars. They save on the petrol, whose prices are hiking each day, so monetarily, they are a better option. Environmentally, you will save on emitting pollutions as well as not deplete the renewable resource. Also it would help the gross income of your country increase as it will cut down on the imports of petrol, by which the countries rich in oil are having all the fun just because you want your comfort right in its place.
It does not promise you no-energy wastage, but it definitely is less dirty than the fuel consuming cars.
