Filed Under Car Improvement & Maintenance | Leave a Comment
These days you need to wax your car often due to the rising amount of dust and pollution. It is definitely not a good idea or sending the car to a garage or hiring a person every time to get this done. It is best to do it yourself!
You can make a homemade car wax by mixing beeswax, carnauba wax, turpentine and pine oil. All these are easily available at any super market. You just need to get the proportions right. 2 tablespoons of molten beeswax goes into 8 ounces of carnauba wax. Allow this mixture to cool down and add 16 ounces of turpentine and a tablespoon of pine oil. Be extremely careful that no abrasive agents are getting mixed to this solution. This can now be used as any readymade wax.
Before you start waxing, clean the exterior and make it free from dust and grime. Remove abrasive particles if any. Use a sponge and damp it before you start applying it onto the car.

For Toyota, It had been a very difficult few weeks. The company recalled millions of car for a humid accelerator pedal at first, then finally they searched for a remedy and it was announced by the world’s largest automaker that they would stop producing affected vehicles. Toyota has its fix now. And the details are: the fix is essentially a shim. When it is installed between the firewall and the pedal assembly, the shim alters the relative location of two halves of a friction device.
The device deliberately moves with some resistance in such a way that this drive-by-wire strangle mechanism gives the driver with some feedback through the throttle pedal. Slowing the pedal’s return rate, in rare cases humidity and condensation can cause too much friction. And this is what causes a “sticky” throttle or a “humid” throttle. Parts are already being shipped to dealers and training programs to install the bar are underway.
